Structural Leg Calculator

Calculate the web dimension between two pipe hole cutouts along the interior wall.

What it does

The "structural leg" is formed when material is removed to allow two pipes to enter a structure at relatively the same elevation and at different angles.

The web dimension between the hole cutouts, measured along the interior wall, influences the strength of the structure and the ability to create high-quality seals around the pipe connections.

What you need

  1. Diameter of the structure
  2. Diameter of each hole cutout (always larger than the pipe size)
  3. Angle of each pipe entering the structure

Enter the data into the calculator and click Calculate.

For more than two pipes in a structure, repeat the calculation between pairs of adjacent pipes.
